Situated within the charming Bloomingdale neighborhood in Washington, DC, the residence enjoys a serene and historic setting. The interior has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the desires of its occupants – a couple with a child – who sought practical and cohesive spaces to warmly host friends and facilitate their family life.

The project faced a significant challenge in seamlessly connecting these various areas while respecting the inherent constraints of the building. This adaptation required careful consideration of the original structural framework of the house, which was intentionally preserved.

The communal space effortlessly blends the living room, dining area, and kitchen, fostering a sense of togetherness. A white color palette with subtle green accents in the dining room ensures a visually pleasing ambience. The choice of wooden textures and the incorporation of beige marble were favored for the decor. The selection of furniture and artwork was a collaborative effort with the client, often sourced from a variety of Brazilian designers to curate a unique collection.
